     Our President is "Mr. Pioneer" himself.  He was among the first of Southern Baptist Pastors to go into Ohio, where he was instrumental in starting several mission churches over a twenty-three year period of time.
      Dr. Kurtz pastored the Old Westwood Church in Dayton, Ohio, now called the Far Hills Community Church.  He was the first President of the Ohio Baptist Convention which was formed in 1954.
     From Westwood, a few of the many mission churches that were established were: West Moraine; East Dayton; Fairborn; and the works in Springfield and Lima. John was the founder of Fairview Baptist Church.
     Dr. Kurtz is presently serving as a Volunteer of the Mission Service Corp of the North American Mission Board.  The challenge of Pioneer Missions is to give assistance in the starting of new mission churches and aid in their becoming functioning Southern Baptist Churches; to aid and assist in the recruiting of personnel for Southern Baptist Mission work; and to aid in all phases of the Lord's work. He also aids in the conducting of revivals and also assist missions and churches during interim situations.

                           John & "The Professor"

     Churches and Pastor Groups all over America have called on John and "The Professor" for Revivals, Banquets and Senior Adult Rallies.  Many have been delighted by great comedy by the "unlikely" team but always presenting a spiritual message.
